Hamswell House Wedding
Well, what can I say about Arabella & Nick’s perfect Hamswell House wedding? There are very few words that would adequately describe how perfect it was so I’d very much suggest scrolling through the photos below, although I will do my best to sum it up here.
I started the day bright and early with Nick and his groomsmen at his mum’s house. It was a chill start to the day, and I love the candid moments of them eating breakfast and getting ready for the day. I think it’s fun for the bride and groom to see snapshots in to each others’ mornings before the see each other for the ceremony.
I then headed over to the see the girls getting ready in one of the most amazing AirBnbs I’ve seen! Such a great spot with amazing places for detail photos. The atmosphere was pretty relaxed for most the morning. I think Arabella’s dad seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time was my favourite moment – this wasn’t staged at all!
We got a taxi to Bath Registry Office for the ceremony. It could not have been more fun and they even added a song which is totally unique for a civil ceremony. Seeing all the guests sing Can’t Take My Eyes Off You at with absolute enthusiasm was amazing, and gave me goosebumps!
Arabella & Nick headed off in their vintage wedding car and the guests and I boarded a coach to Hamswell House. I had never been to this venue before and I have to say I was blown away. The house itself is stunning, the views are amazing, and the glass marquee the couple set up was just breathtaking!
First it was drinks and canapés on the lawn and then on to a couple of chilled group photos in front of the house. While the guests sat down in the marquee, I took the bride and groom off for a stroll around the grounds for their wedding photos. They were absolute naturals, and I think they look like they own the place in all the photos. What a perfect look!
Big weddings are always fun, and the atmosphere in the marquee during the wedding breakfast and speeches was electric. This carried on in to the evening and honestly, it could not have been a more fun party! The dance floor was absolutely packed from the second the first dance finished (and what a first dance…I always love a choreography!). Temporary tattoos were a fun interlude as well, and all the guests VERY much enjoyed personalised cocktails.
I had such a blast shooting this day. Such a fantastic wedding!
