Huntsham Court Wedding
I’ve been so excited to share this wedding here – Aliesha and Olly’s big day at Huntsham Court in Devon. It was the most amazing day filled with tears, emotion and a lot of booze and dancing!
These two first started dating when they were still teenagers. They had already been together for over 10 years by their wedding day so had spent half their lives together already. Just so sweet! This meant they were surrounded by so many mutual friends, and families who already knew and loved each other. One of my favourite moments was their big group of childhood friends making them a massive album of photos and memories of their lives.
They got legally married before their wedding day so chose the wonderful celebrant Hestia & Iris to lead the ceremony at Huntsham Court. I can’t believe how lucky they were with the weather. With an October wedding, it could have been unpredictable, but luckily they were able to have the outdoor ceremony they dreamed of. They involved guests by hiding the rings underneath seats for people to find and bring up at the right moment – so fun!
The reception was relaxed with a grazing buffet, and very surprisingly, the group photos were actually really fun too! Everyone wanted to pick up the bride and groom so it was so much fun to capture. Aliesha & Olly’s bride and groom photos were just unbelievable. I barely prompted them at all, and they just looked something straight out of a fairytale. You can’t fake magic like that!
The speeches were super emotional, with Olly’s brother in particular bringing everyone to tears (and also raucous laughter!). After a fantastic meal of pie & mash, it was on to more drinks and dancing. You couldn’t hold this group back from the dance floor, which was popping off before the DJ had even properly set up!
I took the chance to take these two off for 5 minutes to make the most of the golden hour and again, they just totally rocked it. You’d expect to see these two on the cover of Vogue.
Can’t tell you enough how great this wedding day is. Since Huntsham Court is a private hire venue, Aliesha & Olly were able to relax and celebrate with friends and family for a few days, creating the most amazing atmosphere which was just a joy to capture. Here’s to Mr & Mrs Costello!
